Frequently Asked Questions

Can I print this timetable for my masjid or home?

Yes. Use the Print button — the page switches to a clean black-and-white table with the city, month, method and Asr setting in the header, ready for a noticeboard.

Which month and year can I generate?

Any month you choose, past or future. Times are calculated day by day for the exact coordinates of the selected city (or your custom coordinates).

Why do the times shift by a minute on some days only?

The sun’s path changes unevenly through the year — around the equinoxes times can move two minutes a day, while near the solstices they may stay the same for several days.

Does the table show Sehri and Iftar?

Sehri ends at Fajr and Iftar is at Maghrib, so the Fajr and Maghrib columns are your Sehri and Iftar times. For Ramadan specifically, the Ramadan Timetable tool presents exactly those two columns day by day.

How it works

The timetable runs the same solar prayer calculation used on the Prayer Times page once for every day of the month you choose — 28 to 31 separate calculations for your city, method and Asr school — and lays the results out as one printable grid: the day, the Gregorian date, and all six times (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha). It shares its settings with the other Loona prayer tools, so the city and method you picked on one page are already selected here.

Worked example

Faisalabad, November 2026, default settings: on 1 November Fajr is 5:01 AM and Isha is 6:41 PM; by 30 November Fajr has drifted to 5:22 AM and Isha to 6:30 PM. That slow daily drift — about 21 minutes at Fajr across the month — is exactly why a masjid timetable needs a row for every day instead of one fixed set of times.

Frequently asked questions

What changes in the table if I switch the Asr school?

Only the Asr column. With Hanafi Asr the whole column moves later — in Faisalabad in November by about 45 minutes — while Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Maghrib and Isha stay exactly the same, because Asr is the only prayer fixed by the shadow factor.

Why do Fajr and Isha drift faster than Dhuhr across a month?

Fajr and Isha depend on twilight, whose length changes quickly as the seasons turn, so their clock times move by a minute or more on many days. Dhuhr only follows solar noon, which drifts slowly with the equation of time, so it often repeats the same minute for several days in a row.

Can I make a timetable for a village or a small town?

Yes — the same latitude and longitude fields as the Prayer Times page are built in. Type the coordinates of the place (or use a listed city nearby) and every row of the month is calculated for that exact spot.

Our masjid wants to print this — which settings should we use?

The ones your masjid already follows, so the new sheet agrees with the old one. In Pakistan that is almost always the Karachi method with Hanafi Asr, which are the defaults here. Compare a few days against your current printed timetable before replacing it, because some masjids add precautionary minutes of their own.

Can I share the timetable as a file instead of printing it?

Yes — open the print view and choose “Save as PDF” (or “Print to PDF”) as the destination in your browser’s print dialog. The sheet is laid out for paper, so the saved PDF keeps the same clean grid and can be shared on WhatsApp or email.
