What this site is

Loona Salary & Tax Calculators is a free collection of calculators for the money questions employees actually face: How much gratuity do I get when I leave my job in Dubai or Riyadh? What is my real take-home pay in Amsterdam or Berlin? How much tax comes out of my salary in Karachi? Each calculator answers one question for one country, using that country's current official rules.

The site launched with five calculators — UAE gratuity, Saudi end of service, Netherlands net salary with the 30% ruling, Pakistan salary tax, and German gross-to-net — and is growing towards a planned set of twenty, covering Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Spain and more, each with a plain-English guide like the ones in our Guides section.

Who builds it

The site is built and maintained by Loona Automation, founded by Aurang Zeb Loona in Jaranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. Loona Automation creates free, practical web tools — QR code generators, financial calculators, an image compressor, an invoice generator and AI tools for teachers — used by visitors in Pakistan, the Gulf and Europe. This salary and tax site is its finance-focused member of that family.

How the calculators work

• Official formulas only. Every calculator is built from the published law or official guidance for its country — for example Article 51 of the UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law 33/2021), Articles 84–85 of the Saudi Labour Law, the Dutch Box 1 tables and expat-scheme norms, the statutory tariff in §32a of the German Income Tax Act, and the Finance Act slabs published by Pakistan's FBR.
• Sources and dates on the page. Each calculator shows the formula it uses, the law it comes from, and the date it was last verified, so you can check the maths yourself.
• Re-verified every year. Tax figures change every January in Europe and every June budget in Pakistan; we run a full verification sweep on that calendar and only update a page's "last verified" date after its formula has actually been re-checked.
• Honest about limits. Where a result is an estimate — for example where payroll uses a more detailed official calculation flow — the page says so plainly rather than pretending to be a payslip.

Free, private, no sign-up

Every calculator is free, works without an account, and runs 100% in your browser. Your salary, dates and family details are never sent to a server, stored, or shared — there is no database of user calculations at all. The site is supported by advertising, as described in our Privacy Policy.
