Cleaner Time Card Calculator — Timesheet for five evening shifts plus a Saturday deep-clean

A weekly time card pre-set the way cleaners actually work: five evening shifts plus a Saturday deep-clean. Adjust the shifts to your own week — overtime split and gross pay follow instantly.

In short: This card starts from a typical cleaner week — Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM with no unpaid break (6 paid hours), plus Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break (5.5 paid hours) — at $16/hour. That week totals 35:30 hours and $568.00 gross under the federal weekly rule. Change any shift, break or the rate and the whole week recalculates.

How It Works — Overtime for Cleaners

The card turns each shift into paid minutes (clock-out minus clock-in, minus unpaid breaks; overnight shifts roll into the next day), then splits the week: the first 40 paid hours are regular, the rest are overtime at 1.5×. Rules summarized from the US Department of Labor (FLSA). Last verified: November 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

I clean three buildings a night. Does the driving between them count?

Yes. Travel between work sites during the shift is part of the working day and must be paid. Your unpaid commute is only the trip from home to the first building and from the last building home.

I am paid a flat rate per building. Am I owed overtime?

If you are an employee (not a genuine independent contractor), yes: total flat pay divided by total hours gives your regular rate, and hours past 40 in a week are owed the extra half rate.

My agency sends me to different companies. Whose hours combine?

Hours for the same employer combine. If the agency employs and pays you, all sites it sends you to in a week add together toward 40, even though the buildings belong to different clients.

How do I check a paycheck?

Keep your own start/stop times per building for a week, rebuild the week here, and compare total paid hours and gross with the stub.

Does this card save my week?

Yes — automatically, in your browser’s local storage on this device only. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Archive a finished week and it stays viewable on the same device (up to 12 archived weeks).

How it works — the formula

The formula: Gross = (regular hours × rate) + (overtime hours × rate × 1.5), where overtime hours are the paid hours beyond 40 in the workweek.

Worked example

The pre-loaded week — Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM with no unpaid break (6 paid hours), plus Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break (5.5 paid hours) — is Monday 6 h, Tuesday 6 h, Wednesday 6 h, Thursday 6 h, Friday 6 h, Saturday 5.5 h: 35:30 paid hours. At the pre-set rate that is 35:30 regular ($568.00) with no overtime = $568.00 gross before taxes.

Disclaimer: Estimates only — not payroll or legal advice. Your employer's payroll rules and state law control your actual pay. Figures are rounded for display; your pay stub and payroll department are the official record.
