Delivery Driver Time Card Calculator — Timesheet for six 8-hour days, Monday to Saturday

A weekly time card pre-set the way delivery drivers actually work: six 8-hour days, Monday to Saturday. Adjust the shifts to your own week — overtime split and gross pay follow instantly.

In short: This card starts from a typical delivery driver week — Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break (8 paid hours) — at $19/hour. That week totals 48:00 hours and $988.00 gross under the federal weekly rule. Change any shift, break or the rate and the whole week recalculates.

How It Works — Overtime for Delivery Drivers

The card turns each shift into paid minutes (clock-out minus clock-in, minus unpaid breaks; overnight shifts roll into the next day), then splits the week: the first 40 paid hours are regular, the rest are overtime at 1.5×. Rules summarized from the US Department of Labor (FLSA). Last verified: November 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am paid per route. How is my overtime rate found?

Your regular rate is the week’s total pay divided by the hours you actually worked that week. Hours past 40 are then owed an additional half of that rate per hour, on top of what the route pay already covered.

Are delivery drivers exempt from overtime?

Some are, under the federal motor carrier exemption — it covers drivers whose work affects the safety of vehicles over 10,001 lb in interstate commerce. The small-vehicle exception restores overtime rights for drivers of vehicles weighing 10,000 lb or less, which includes most vans and box trucks used for local delivery.

Is waiting time at a delivery stop paid?

Usually yes. If you must stay with the vehicle or the load and cannot use the time effectively for yourself, you are engaged to wait, and it is hours worked. A genuine meal break where you are fully relieved of duty is different.

How do I check a six-day-week paycheck?

Rebuild the week here from your route times, then compare total paid hours, overtime hours and the overtime rate with the stub.

Does this card save my week?

Yes — automatically, in your browser’s local storage on this device only. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Archive a finished week and it stays viewable on the same device (up to 12 archived weeks).

How it works — the formula

The formula: Gross = (regular hours × rate) + (overtime hours × rate × 1.5), where overtime hours are the paid hours beyond 40 in the workweek.

Worked example

The pre-loaded week — Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break (8 paid hours) — is Monday 8 h, Tuesday 8 h, Wednesday 8 h, Thursday 8 h, Friday 8 h, Saturday 8 h: 48:00 paid hours. At the pre-set rate that is 40:00 regular ($760.00) + 8:00 overtime ($228.00) = $988.00 gross before taxes.

Disclaimer: Estimates only — not payroll or legal advice. Your employer's payroll rules and state law control your actual pay. Figures are rounded for display; your pay stub and payroll department are the official record.
