Book Cover Maker — Free Book & eBook Covers
Readers judge books by covers in under three seconds: one strong image or colour, a title readable as a thumbnail, the author’s name placed with confidence. The template enforces all three.
Click a block to select it, drag to move, drag its bottom-right corner to resize. Layers: use Send backward / Bring forward.
How to use the Book Cover Maker
- Pick a size and a starter template — every template is fully editable, nothing is locked.
- Click any text, shape or photo block to edit it: drag to move, drag the corner to resize, restyle in the editor below the canvas.
- Add your own photo blocks and background, arrange layers with Send backward / Bring forward.
- Download the PNG at the exact size you picked, or use Print / Save as PDF for paper copies.
How it works
Cover sizes are true publishing ratios — 1600 × 2400 px serves both 6×9 print (at ~266 DPI) and major eBook stores. Keep the title huge: if it cannot be read as a small thumbnail, enlarge it. This page runs on Loona’s shared canvas editor: your design is a stack of text, shape and photo blocks rendered at the exact pixel size chosen, so exports are print- and platform-ready. Blocks are clamped inside the canvas and layers can be reordered. Everything happens in your browser — photos are never uploaded.
Worked example
A teacher publishes his classroom guide with the Bold Non-Fiction cover; the book finally looks as professional as its contents.
