How to use the Photo Collage Maker
- Add 2 to 9 photos with the file picker. They load only into your browser — nothing is uploaded.
- Choose a layout: Grid for even tiles, Hero for one star photo with supporting shots, or Mosaic for varied rows.
- Pick the canvas shape (landscape, square, portrait or wide), gap size, corner rounding and the background colour that shows through the gaps.
- Choose the export width and format (PNG for quality, JPG for a smaller file) and press Download collage.
How it works
Each layout is defined as exact fractional tiles of the canvas, so cells always fill the frame with no overlaps and no stray gaps. Every photo is cover-cropped: it is scaled to completely fill its cell and centre-cropped, so faces and subjects are never stretched or squashed. The final collage is composed on a canvas at your chosen export width and saved directly from your browser.
Worked example
You have six photos from a school sports day. The Hero layout puts the trophy photo large on the left with five action shots stacked beside it; a deep teal background and rounded corners match the school colours, and the 1600-pixel JPG is ready for the school Facebook page.

How many photos can I put in one collage?
Between 2 and 9 photos. The layout adapts automatically to the number you add.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
Never. Photos are loaded into your browser only and the collage is built on your device.
Why are my photos cropped?
Each cell has a fixed shape, so photos are cover-cropped — scaled to fill the cell and centre-cropped — which keeps every photo undistorted. Choose a canvas shape close to your photos to crop less.
PNG or JPG — which should I download?
PNG keeps the sharpest edges and exact colours; JPG makes a smaller file that is easier to share on messaging apps.
Can I rearrange the photos?
Photos fill the layout in the order added. Remove a photo with its Remove button and re-add it to change the order.
