Delete Pages from PDF Online - Free

In short: the Delete PDF Pages tool removes the pages you list - for example 2, 4-6 - from a copy of your PDF, leaving every other page untouched and in order.

Blank scanner pages, duplicate forms and confidential sheets do not belong in the file you share. List the pages to remove and download a clean copy - the original on your device stays exactly as it was.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I delete every page?

No - a PDF must keep at least one page, and the tool protects you from deleting all of them.

Does this change my original file?

No. You download a new, cleaned copy; the original file on your device is never modified.

How do I know which page is which?

Page numbers follow the order in your PDF reader, starting from 1 for the first page.

Are the removed pages recoverable from the new file?

No. Removed pages are fully excluded from the downloaded copy.

How it works

The tool loads your PDF in your browser with pdf-lib - nothing is uploaded - reads the page list you typed (single pages and ranges such as 2, 4-6), and removes those pages from a copy of the document. Removals are done from the last page backwards, so the page numbers still to be removed never shift while the work is in progress. The pages that remain are saved as a new download with -cleaned in the name; your original file on your device is never altered. For safety, the tool refuses a list that would delete every page, because a PDF must keep at least one.

Worked example

You download a 30-page bank statement, but pages 5 and 12 are blank and page 13 is a duplicate. You type 5, 12-13 in the box and click the button: the downloaded statement-cleaned.pdf has 27 pages with the three unwanted sheets gone, and the original download is still sitting untouched in your folder.

Frequently asked questions

What formats can I use in the page list?

Single pages and ranges mixed together, separated by commas - for example 2, 4-6, 9 deletes pages 2, 4, 5, 6 and 9. Spaces are fine, and repeating a page in the list does no harm.

What happens if I type a page number the document does not have?

The tool checks your list against the real page count and shows an error before changing anything, so a typing mistake can never produce a broken or half-edited file.

Will the file get smaller after deleting pages?

Usually yes, roughly in line with the share of pages removed, because the saved document no longer contains those pages. Content shared between pages, such as an embedded font used everywhere, is kept because remaining pages still need it.

Do the remaining pages get renumbered?

The pages keep their content exactly as it was - the tool removes whole pages rather than editing what's on them, so a number printed on a page itself does not change. If you need fresh numbering, add it afterwards with our Add Page Numbers tool.

Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?

No - the document must be openable to be read, and a password-locked file will produce an error. Remove the protection in the app that created it, then delete the pages here.
