Organize PDF Pages Online - Free

In short: the Organize PDF tool shows every page of your PDF as a thumbnail, so you can drag pages into a new order, rotate sideways pages and delete pages you do not need - then save the result as a new PDF, completely free and without uploading anything.

Scanners rarely get the order right: pages come out shuffled, a blank sheet slips in, and one page lands sideways. Instead of printing and re-scanning, just drop the PDF here, arrange the thumbnails the way the document should read, and download a clean, correctly ordered copy.

or drag & drop it here - works best with files under about 50 MB
Private by design: your file is processed 100% in your browser with JavaScript. It is never uploaded to a server, never stored and never seen by us - close the tab and everything is gone. Your original file is never modified; the tool always creates a new PDF.

How to organize PDF pages

  1. Click the box above or drag your PDF into it - the pages appear as thumbnails.
  2. Drag any thumbnail to a new position, or use the left and right arrow buttons under it (easier on a phone). Tap the rotate button to turn a sideways page, and the delete button to remove a page you do not need.
  3. Click "Save PDF" and your reorganized document downloads automatically, in exactly the order shown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free to organize a PDF here?

Yes. The Organize PDF tool is completely free with no sign-up, no watermark and no page limit imposed by us.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Organizing happens 100% inside your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device.

How do I change the order of pages?

Drag any page thumbnail to its new position, or use the left and right arrow buttons under each thumbnail - handy on phones and tablets.

Can I rotate or remove a page while organizing?

Yes. The rotate button turns a page 90 degrees each time you tap it, and the delete button removes the page from the new PDF. The Reset button restores the original order and brings back every page.

What is the largest PDF I can organize?

There is no fixed limit, but the tool works best with files under about 50 MB. Everything runs in your device's memory, so very large files depend on how much memory your device has free.

How it works

Your file is opened right inside your browser - nothing is uploaded to any server. The page previews are drawn by the pdf.js library, the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs. When you click Save, the pdf-lib library builds a brand-new document and copies the pages into it in exactly the order of your thumbnails, applying any rotations you set and leaving out any pages you deleted. Because pages are copied whole rather than printed or re-rendered, text stays selectable, vector drawings stay sharp and images keep their original data. The finished document downloads automatically, while your original file stays untouched on your device.

Worked example

You scanned a 6-page assignment and the pages came out in the order 1, 3, 2, 6, 5, 4 - with page 5 sideways and a blank scanner lid page at the end. Drop the scan here, drag page 3 after page 2, drag the last three pages into 4, 5, 6 order, tap rotate once on the sideways page, delete the blank page, and click Save. You get one clean 6-page PDF that reads perfectly from start to finish.

Common uses

  • Fixing scans whose pages came out of order or upside down.
  • Removing blank pages that a scanner or printer added.
  • Moving a summary or signature page to the front or back of a report.
  • Putting application forms, certificates and ID copies in the order an office asked for - in a single pass, before merging or sending.

Frequently asked questions

Will organizing change the quality of my pages?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are into the new document - text stays selectable and images keep their original quality and size. Each page also keeps its own original page size.

Can I organize a PDF with just one page?

Yes. A one-page PDF opens normally; you can rotate the page if it is sideways and save it again, or simply leave it as it is.

I deleted a page by mistake - can I get it back?

Yes. Click "Reset Order" and the tool restores every page in the original order. Your original file on your device is never changed either way, so you can always start again from it.

Can I organize a password-protected PDF?

No. A file that needs a password to open cannot be read by the tool and will show an error. Remove the password in the app that created the file first, then organize it here.

Does my internet speed affect organizing?

No. Once this page has loaded, all the work happens in your device's memory, so organizing is just as fast on a slow connection - your file never travels anywhere.
