CSV to Chart — Paste CSV, Get a Chart (16 Types)
Your numbers already live in a spreadsheet. This page is the shortest path from that grid to a presentable chart: copy, paste, pick, download.
How to use the CSV to Chart
- Copy your data from Excel, Google Sheets or any CSV file and paste it into the CSV box, then press Apply CSV. The first row should contain series names; the first column, labels.
- Pick any of the sixteen chart types from the Chart type menu — the same data redraws instantly.
- Fine-tune title, legend and colours, then download the PNG.
How it works
CSV is split on commas, tabs or semicolons; text cells in value columns become 0, so keep numbers clean. The chosen type is rendered by the same shared chart engine as every Loona chart page. The chart is drawn by hand on an HTML canvas by Loona’s shared chart engine — no chart library and no server. Everything is computed locally, so your numbers never leave your device.
Worked example
An accountant exports monthly figures from her accounting app as CSV, pastes them here, tries the stacked bar for the board pack and the line chart for the trend slide — two finished charts in two minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
What CSV format is expected?
First row: an empty or "Label" cell followed by series names. Each following row: a label, then the numbers. Commas, tabs and semicolons all work as separators.
Is my CSV uploaded to a server?
Never — parsing and charting happen 100% in your browser. This is the safest way to chart sensitive figures.
Which chart types are included?
Bar/column, line, area, stacked bar, horizontal bar, pie, doughnut, polar area, radar, scatter, histogram, box plot, funnel, gauge, waffle and treemap.
Can I edit after pasting?
Yes — the pasted data lands in the editable grid, so you can fix cells, add rows and rename series before downloading.
