Gauge Chart Maker — Free Speedometer & KPI Gauges
Fundraising progress, target completion, a health score: when there is one number that matters, a gauge makes it glanceable on any slide or wall.
How to use the Gauge Chart Maker
- Put your value in the first row of the first series (the row label becomes the caption under the dial).
- The dial scales from 0 to a rounded maximum just above your value.
- Download the PNG for your slide, report or notice board.
How it works
The needle angle is a linear map of your value: 0 sits at 180° (left), the maximum at 360° (right), drawn as angle = 180 + (value ÷ max) × 180. The scale band runs red → amber → green. The chart is drawn by hand on an HTML canvas by Loona’s shared chart engine — no chart library and no server. Everything is computed locally, so your numbers never leave your device.
Worked example
A school charity drive is 72% to its goal. The gauge goes on the entrance notice board and donations jump the same week.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which value does the gauge show?
The first value of the first series. The first row’s label becomes the caption.
What is the maximum of the dial?
A rounded "nice" maximum just above your value (for example 72 → 100), so percentages land exactly at their intuitive place.
Can I make a gauge of 350 out of 500?
Enter 350 — the dial tops out at 500 automatically (the next nice maximum). For an exact percentage, enter the percentage itself.
Is it free?
Yes — free, private, watermark-free.
