Horizontal Bar Chart Maker — Free Ranked Bar Charts
Top scorers, product rankings, survey results with wordy answers: horizontal bars keep every label readable and the ranking obvious. Sort your rows before you start for a true leaderboard.
How to use the Horizontal Bar Chart Maker
- Type your labels and numbers into the grid, or paste CSV into the box below the chart and press Apply CSV.
- Adjust the title, legend and per-series colours until the chart reads clearly at a glance.
- Press Download chart as PNG and drop the image into your document, slides or post. Use Copy my data as CSV to save your figures for later.
How it works
Bar lengths are proportional to value against a rounded maximum, labels sit in a clear left gutter, and values print at the bar ends so the chart reads without an axis hunt. The chart is drawn by hand on an HTML canvas by Loona’s shared chart engine — no chart library and no server. Everything is computed locally, so your numbers never leave your device.
Worked example
A sports page ranks five teams by matches won. The horizontal chart fits a phone screen perfectly and becomes the match-day post.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I rank the bars?
Enter rows in the order you want them shown — top row first. Sorting your data before pasting gives a ranked leaderboard.
When are horizontal bars better?
When labels are long, categories are many, or the output is tall and narrow (like a phone screen).
Can I use two series?
Yes — a second series draws a second bar per row. Values shown at the ends are from the first series.
Is my data private?
Completely — drawn in your browser only.
