Private by design: everything in this tool happens 100% in your browser with JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded to a server, never stored and never seen by us - close the tab and everything is gone.

How to use the Case Converter

  1. Type or paste your text into the box.
  2. Click any case button - the text is rewritten in place, instantly.
  3. Copy the result or download it as a text file. Click another button any time to change style again.

How it works

Each button applies a precise rule. UPPERCASE and lowercase change every letter. Title Case capitalises the important words and keeps small joining words (a, the, of, in...) lowercase, like book titles. Sentence case lowercases everything, then capitalises the first letter of each sentence. Capitalize Each Word capitalises every single word. aLtErNaTiNg case alternates letter by letter, and iNVERSE swaps every letter's case. Numbers, punctuation and spacing are never touched.

Worked example

You paste 'the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog'. Title Case gives 'The Quick Brown Fox Jumps over the Lazy Dog', Sentence case gives 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog', and aLtErNaTiNg gives 'tHe QuIcK bRoWn FoX'.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the case converter free?

Yes - free with no sign-up, no limits and no watermarks.

What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalize Each Word?

Title Case keeps small joining words like 'the', 'of' and 'and' lowercase (except at the start), following book-title style. Capitalize Each Word capitalises every word without exception.

Does it work on Urdu or Arabic text?

Urdu and Arabic scripts have no letter case, so case buttons leave them unchanged; English text mixed in the same paragraph still converts normally.

Will it fix text typed with Caps Lock on?

Yes - paste it and click Sentence case or lowercase to get normal, readable text back.

Is my text uploaded?

No - conversion runs 100% in your browser.
