How to use the Remove Duplicate Lines

How it works
The tool reads your text line by line and remembers every line it has seen. The first time a line appears it is kept; every later repeat is dropped. With case-sensitivity off, 'Ali' and 'ali' count as the same line. With trimming on, lines that differ only by spaces at the edges also count as duplicates - the kept line is shown in its tidied, trimmed form. The report tells you exactly how many lines were removed.
Worked example
A class attendance export has 9 lines: Ali, Sara, Ali, Ahmed, sara, Ahmed, Usman, Ali, (blank). With the default options the result is 4 lines - Ali, Sara, Ahmed, Usman - and the tool reports 'Removed 5 duplicate or empty lines'.
