Anagram Game β Unscramble the Word
Anagrams force close attention to letter patterns β the same skill that underpins spelling. A clue keeps the game fair: it tests letter knowledge, not guessing.
How to Use It
- Type words as word = clue, one per line. Words of 4β9 letters work best.
- Start: the first word appears scrambled in big letters, with its clue underneath.
- Type your answer and press Check. Wrong guesses can be retried; Skip reveals the word and moves on (no point).
- Finish all words to see the final score.
How It Works
Words are scrambled with a retrying shuffle that guarantees the result is never the original word. Answers are checked ignoring capitals and surrounding spaces, so "Planet" and "planet" both count.
Frequently Asked Questions
What clues work best?
Short definitions or hints that do not contain the word itself: for PLANET, "It orbits the sun" β not "A planet isβ¦".
Can I use spelling-list words?
Yes β pair this with the Spelling Test: unscramble the word here first, then spell it from dictation there.
Are repeated letters handled?
Yes β the scramble uses the word's exact letters, so words like BALLOON keep both L's and both O's.
