Spelling Worksheet Generator โ Four Sheets from One List
One spelling list, four kinds of practice: that is exactly how spelling sticks. Each activity attacks the words differently โ letter order, vowel patterns, alphabetical order, and pure recall in the test โ and they are all generated from the same list in one click.
Spelling Worksheet โ Answer Key
How to Use It
- Type the spelling list, one word per line (the example list is loaded to try).
- Generate the set: four sections appear โ Unscramble, Missing Vowels, ABC Order, and a test sheet with blank lines.
- Print the worksheets for practice through the week; use section 4 (or the Spelling Test tool) on test day.
- Print the answer key separately for marking or for students to self-check.
How It Works
Scrambles use a retrying shuffle that never leaves a word unchanged. Missing-vowel practice blanks every vowel (a, e, i, o, u) while keeping consonants as anchors. ABC order is a true alphabetical sort shown only in the key, so the worksheet itself never gives the game away. All four sections and the key are rendered from one parsed list, so they cannot disagree.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the Spelling Test tool?
The Spelling Test is on-screen dictation with instant marking. This generator makes printable paper practice for the same list โ use the worksheets during the week and the test (either version) at the end.
Why blank only the vowels?
Vowels are where most spelling errors live (the classic "seperate" problem). Keeping consonants visible gives enough support that the exercise is challenging but fair.
Can I use fewer activities?
Print the set and use only the sections you need โ or copy one section's words into the Anagram Game or Word Search Generator for two more activity types from the same list.
