Classroom Scoreboard โ Points Everyone Can See
House points only motivate when they are visible and current. A scoreboard on the screen, updated the moment a point is earned, turns good behaviour and good answers into a shared class story โ and ends the end-of-term scramble to reconstruct scores.
How to Use It
- Four house teams are loaded to start (edit freely): rename by removing and re-adding, or add your own teams with the form.
- Tap +1 or +5 to award points, โ1 to remove one (scores never go below zero). Cards are sized to be tapped on a touchscreen or clicked from across the room.
- Scores save automatically in this browser, so Monday's points are still there on Friday.
- Reset all points starts a new week or term (it asks first, so a stray tap cannot wipe a term).
How It Works
The scoreboard is deliberately simple: a list of teams with names and points, rendered as large colour cards, persisted in local storage after every change. Minus points floor at zero so a double-tap cannot send a team negative.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many teams can I add?
As many as you like; the grid wraps to fit. Four to six teams read best on a classroom screen.
Are points shared between devices?
No โ they live in this browser on this device. Use the same classroom computer or tablet and the board stays continuous.
Can students see it at home?
No, and that is by design: it is a classroom display, not a published league table.
